    Community Engagement Director

    StoryPoint and Independence Village

     

    Position Summary:

    The Community Engagement Director plans, organizes, coordinates and completes all community (internal and external) engagement activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents in a senior life connections community.

     

    Required Experience for Community Engagement Director:

    • Compassionate towards the senior population.
    • Positive and Engaging Attitude
    • Relevant experience
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and holiday hours.
    • Microsoft word, excel and publisher knowledge

     

    Responsibilities for Community Engagement Director:

    • Understanding and leading to our 1440 standards.
    • Clear Communication of Vision: Ability to translate how our organizational, community and goals relate to our team, staff and residents.
    • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately and timely along with seeking clarification when needed.
    • Actively supports our culture – our pillars and 1440.
    • The Community Engagement Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the life enrichment department.
    • Responsible for all Founder Engagement and Events; including the recruitment for Founder Ambassadors for the 5 Dimensions
    • Creates and manages internal and external community events, inviting community prospects to exciting and innovative activities/events that attract and inspire future residents.
    • Conducts outreach and develop ongoing relationships with community organizations.
    • Maintains relationships with community partners including and not limited to museums, veterans centers (VFW, Elks, etc.), YMCAs, quilting guilds, colleges, universities, churches, non-profits, media outlets and senior centers.
    • Attends relevant networking and marketing events in order to expand community contacts and relationships
    • Serves as spokesperson for Media and Marketing requests
    • Resident Participation Tracker: personal touch or connection with each resident on a daily or weekly basis meeting goal.
    • Implement the 1440 Standards and review with regional or functional leader on regular basis as determined by those team leaders.
    • Plan and perform regularly scheduled activities (inside and outside the community) as outlined in the LE Standards.
    • Create the monthly activity calendar
    • Utilize resident assessments to create innovative personalized programs that are engaging to residents and prospects.
    • Present professional appearance/dress and maintain all areas for activities within the community in a safe and neat manner.
    • Responsible for all resident interest assessments utilizing momentum program.
    • Manage all appropriate state regulations and auditing to ensure our community is in compliance.
    • Work closely with Wellness team to better understand the needs of the residents.
    • Purchasing and budgeting to adhere to company guidelines.
    • Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization and the constant pursuit of better.
    • Available to work a flexible schedule including on call, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
    • Perform other duties as assigned
